By: Sarah and Kaitlyn (And Jen!)
We love spreading joy. Putting a smile on someone's face brightens not only his or her day, but also our days. Jen, of apartment-wife, seems to do this daily. She has created what she (and now we, lovingly) call Random Acts of Happiness or rah rah rah. This is our second rah rah rah with Jen, and we have to say, it went much better than the first.
Jen set out in Minneapolis, while we set out in Milwaukee on a mission to spread more kindess across the Midwest. Between the three of us, we created custom "compliment cards" to hand out. These said things such as "Here's a little sunshine for you" and "Don't forget to be awesome!" Our favorite of Jen's said "You're some kind of wonderful."
While Jen went for a straight-on approach, handing cards directly to people:
Our cards also encouraged people to pass them on to keep the kindness spreading.
Small acts of kindness aren't always in huge gestures. Sometimes the greatest acts of kindness can be in a moment where you discover or receive an encouraging message from a stranger. Giving these moments is a rewarding experience. We each have the power to make small changes in stranger's days; so let's do it. If you want any of our rah card templates, feel free to email us for them, and start spreading kind messages of your own.
Do YOU have any ideas? Or would you like to get involved? Leave a comment!
Also, if you found one of our cards and it led you here, we'd love to know!
