This week I’m gushing over Rachel Khoo, the adorable chef behind The Little Paris Kitchen. Her show is on for one half hour ONCE a week on The Cooking Channel, and you bet your bottom dollar I am tuned in! (If you’re curious it’s 11:30 a.m. Central time.)
Why do I love her so much? For one, she’s a Brit. Two, she lives in Paris. Three, she wears red lips and sweet dresses. She’s my hero. And I haven’t even gotten started on her food!
Rachel is all about making French food less fussy for the every day cook. She trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris so she knows how the food is traditionally prepared, and without sacrificing flavor or tradition, she puts her own spin on food like Croque Madame, Madeleines, and Quiche Lorraine. I want to make and devour every single one of her creations.
Another amazing thing about Rachel: while she was creating her cookbook she invited people into her home to serve them the recipes she was testing. She had her own little restaurant in her living room two days a week! It became one of the smallest and most popular restaurants in Paris and visitors from all over the world would send in emails explaining why they wanted to be the special guest for the afternoon. Adorable. A tad scary if the wrong person came in, but adorable.

Have a wonderful week!
