Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.

For the past couple months, I've been binge watching The Office on Netflix. I never got into the show when it was on television because I thought I was tOo CoOL to watch it. I finally gave in, and I'm so mad at myself that I didn't give in sooner. This. show. is. perfect.

Through the nine seasons I grew to love so many of the characters, hate a few and adore Dunder Mifflin as a whole. I also certainly learned a few things. Riddled with clichés, here they are:

-Every couple, even the seemingly perfect ones (I'm looking at you Jim and Pam) have problems. Also, the one you're supposed to be with could be right under your nose or across your desk.

-Never underestimate the power of a wonderful prank. As long as it doesn't harm anyone, it can actually bring people together.

-Don't be afraid to do your own thing. Even if it means getting fired and creating your own paper company. Have faith in yourself.

-You have to make sacrifices for the one you love. Sometimes those sacrifices can be scary. Make sure they go both ways, though.

-Don't take life or work too seriously. Have fun and don't take the "good old days" for granted.

-There's a lot of beauty in ordinary things.

I'll miss you, The Office.

What life lessons did you learn from this show? Leave them in the comments.

P.S. - Don't worry Parks & Recreation, I still love you more.
